The collection path and the 50mm F2 Macro
I have been pretty busy lately so I haven't got much time to post stuffs.
Just a quick random update.
After getting the aforementioned 50mm lenses I acquired, I then moved on and got more lenses.
I had always heard about how amazing the Macro Zuikos were before I made the following purchase.

The Zuiko 50mm F2 Macro
One of the best 50mm lenses in my opinion, probably because I don't own many 50mm lenses. I only have all the Zuiko 50s, the Canon 50mm F1.2 which I sold, the Canon Dream lens 50mm F0.95 and the Leica Noctilux 50mm F0.95.
It's probably unfair to compare this to the super fast glasses. Therefore, I will try to explain why it is so good within the Zuiko 50s lineup.

The Zuiko 50s lineup includes: 55mm F1.2, 50mm F1.2, 50mm F1.4, 50mm F1.8, 50mm F2 Macro, 50mm F3.5 Macro
Basically, the 1.2s are for bokeh, of course if you stop them down they are quite sharp.
The 1.4s are actually very similar to the 1.2s. They are much cheaper and therefore many like them. I am still figuring out the differences between them.
The 1.8s are kit lenses. From what I have experienced, they can actually be pretty good too. Decent quality.
Then it comes to the Macro lenses.
Zuiko's Macros are very very sharp. The 3.5 is sharp but it's a little bit plasticky in terms of build quality.
The F2 is well built, aperture clicks accordingly, metal barrel and of course it gives super sharp photos.
It is the only 50 you should get if you are to get only one among the Zuiko 50s because it gives you everything from closeup to what a standard does, not too heavy and very sharp photos. Price is low now. It's definitely a bargain to get one.
I paid like 500+USD many years ago and now it's probably 300-400USD only for a pretty decent one.
It's simply an all-in-one lens. The only downside would be a long focus throw due to its macro nature. The focus helicoid is not fast, maybe my copy needs more lubrication but according to Kanto Camera Japan, which performed a CLA on the lens, said that's the right amount of stiffness for a macro lens and therefore I try to get used to it.
A lot of times, I won't bring this lens with me because I prefer the 1.2s. However, if I wanna shoot some product shots this is one of the most used lenses.
Time to get some sleep. I shall try to update the site more frequently. Thanks for watching!
